Dawoud Bey
Dawoud Bey is the first target in Katana Zero. His only appearance is in Factory.
Appearance
Bey was dressed in a scientist's uniform and gray hair, both of which were covered in blood after he was (presumably) tortured. Around his neck hung a collar with a flashing red light on it.
Personality
Very little is known about Bey's personality, as he is only shown briefly at the Factory before his death.
From what can be analyzed from the state he was in as Zero arrived, he had likely been tortured for information and refused to divulge anything important. Likely because of this interrogation, he moves relatively slowly despite his determination to leave as soon as possible.
History
Sometime before the events of the game, Bey was captured by V and tortured for information regarding the production methods of Chronos. During the Factory mission, Zero kills several of V's henchmen in an effort to rescue the scientist. However, mere moments after Bey leaves his cell, V sets off the bomb in his collar, decapitating him.
Notes
- The room the scientist was held in has a portrait of Mr. Kissyface hanging on the wall.
- He is the only target that Zero is assigned to rescue instead of assassinate.
- Bey's name is reported in the news segment after Factory.
- Bey's head always explodes in a random pattern.
- He has a health bar when he is following you.
